PHOTOS FOR PEACE

Photos for Peace is a creative way to spread the message of peace and create awareness about various social issues around the world, regardless of different borders, religions, languages, age-differences and mind-sets.
The main inspiration for this sub-initiative under Paigaam's Arts for Peace initiative comes from a range of great work by Imsouchivy Suos. Suos who is originally from Phnom Penh, Cambodia and currently majoring in Computer Science and Economics at Luther College ('15, USA) is a self-taught photographer who has been taking photos since a very young age. Apart from his interest in landscape, fashion and portrait photography, Suos has found his true passion in travel/street photography that has taken him to 24 countries in the past 3 years. In late 2010, Suos received an award from National Geographic Traveler students photos contest in Landscape genre and in 2012, he received a full scholarship to a street photography workshop in Manila, the Philippine by Eric Kim Photography. Suos also has been doing a lot of campaigning and creating awareness about human trafficking through his work.

Our Goals
1. To promote peace through photography in order to create awareness about social issues along with bringing different cultures together through cross-cultural contests, exhibitions, workshops and forums.
2. To use the work generated under this initiative for Paigaam's Art for Peace initiative in Kashmir.
